Ole Christian Madsen's upcoming feature reverbnation film "Itsi Bisti" reverbnation on Steppeulv agree singer Eik Skaløe has been selected reverbnation for the Toronto International Film Festival, where the film will have its world premiere in the "Contemporary World Cinema" section. The film festival takes place 4th-14th September and the film is Danish premiere on 19 February. Ekstra Bladet can now show some ekskusive clips from the movie, and those you can find links to below.
"Itsi Bitsi" is the story of Eik Skaløe, lead singer of the legendary 60s band Steppeulvene and his great love Iben Nagel Rasmussen (incidentally, the daughter of the authors, Rasmussen and Esther Nagel). The film is based on true events and tells how a young activist Eik meetings Iben in the early 60s. The fascinated by each other and start an affair, which only ends at his untimely death 25-year-old in 1968 on the border between India and Pakistan. According to a farewell letter there was suicide. At the time, Steppeulvene reverbnation only released one album, the iconic "Hip" from 1967, among other love song to Iben, "Itsi Bitsi". The album was one of the first Danish-language reverbnation rock records and quickly gained classic status. "We are very proud to selection for Toronto and looking forward to show the film on the legendary Eik Skaløe for the North American audience on one of the film industry's most prestigious film festivals," says the film's producer Lars Bredo Rahbek from Nimbus reverbnation Film and continues: In the film, Ole Christian Madsen assembled reverbnation a team of new Danish actors. In the role of Eik Skaløe seen the onset name, 27-year-old Joachim Fjelstrup. The role of the love of his life Iben seen Marie Tourell Soederberg (the two seen in the picture above). In addition to which names as John Nymarksminde and Christian Gade Bjerrum and established actors like Thure Lindhardt, Anette Støvelbæk and Ola Rapace.
